He's left in a huff before.  Ironic that he choose to stomp off this time immediately after M did him the kindness of offering meaningful criticism of the snapshots Saul posted.

Even without an ignore function, I have no trouble ignoring posts by contributors whose remarks are more tiresome than amusing or edifying.

...nothing is gained or lost in the sparring matches...

Think harder.

Saul was hardly an innocent victim.

That's true. But M's constantly attacking, mocking and belittling him even in threads which had nothing to do with Saul's twisted ideas on music and religion was not innocent either. Actually, I wonder what will M do, now that his favorite sparring-partner has left.

Oh, he'll keep finding someone new until someone does something about it.

I just want to say, Andrei & Dave, that I like you chaps.

Most of his victims have gone by now! ;)

He'll find more. It's in his nature.

It will kill the Corkster!

He is a tight fit in his flask already, so the air has probably left him by now.
But indeed he would be a worthy contender. ;)

Folks, no one forced Saul to read M Forever's comments.  Saul has made a dramatic exit, leaving a message which wants to place the blame on someone else.  (Anyone else;  Saul is never at fault, you know;  it's always Those Evil Others.) Oh, if only the moderators policed Certain Members more punishingly!  Oh, if only there were an Ignore Function, then my eyes would not be glued to these inconsequential messages which I don't like!

Saul did not leave because of anyone other than Saul.  Think about it.

It is the individual's responsibility to remember what is, and is not, important.  We are here to discuss music;  Music is important.

Hardly any of us is going to get along with everyone here;  we might wish it to be so (we can certainly act, ourselves, towards that ideal), but, you know, we don't see that out in The Real World, and it's a bit quixotic to expect to create a little pixel world where that will be the case, too.  If someone is bickering at you, it is of no importance.  No one here is my nanny, and it's my own look-out to remember what is of no importance.

There are a few people behind the various IDs here at GMG, with whom I have had the odd squabble.  With most of them, that squabble got sorted out, and we have since gotten on fine.

It's because, when you consider it, the squabbles are (let's say it again) of no importance.

Remember what Brian of Nazareth said: You're all different.

You've got to allow the other chap the freedom to be different, and not bend yourself out of joint because the differences don't always meet your own specs.
Post of the Month.

I presume it shall be remembered, with a touch of irony, that Saul himself has driven forum members away in the past with his rudeness and trollish behavior.

Disagree. There's no excusing bad behavior. Internet or otherwise.

Oh well, maybe my first post wasn't too badly thought after all, wish I hadn't deleted it now.. :-\

Well, but we don't disagree.  I was not excusing bad behavior.

Why, I should not even attempt to excuse Saul's bad behavior  8)

You and anyone interested can find a part of it in my reply #111. :)

While you dance around the elephant in the room. Just like the moderators.
