Never heard the actual music, Ernie . . . have known for years that that's the band Mick Abrahams formed after leaving Tull.

I don't remember all the details but Abrahams split because he wanted a more jazzy/bluesy direction. I think he wanted his own band, really. I saw Blodwyn Pig once and they were an excellent performing group (as was Jethro Tull circa '69).

Oh, and I performed a Blodwyn Pig song in a band I was in ("See My Way").

Grand Funk Railroad :o......Even after all these years I still get the horrors. ;D

Beyond all the hype and at the end of the day, this is a great rock album IMO.

From a GMG'r that enjoys early, middle, and a dabble of later (ie Home By the Sea II) Genesis, all solo Gabriel (so far) and most of the Collins solo work:

Always enjoyed this tune, and like this presentation with stop and start features:

And of course, when Chester and Phil roll:

This agglomeration which was called and which still calls itself Grand Funk Railroad was neither grand, nor funky, nor a railroad

time out of mind - bob

That's the last truly great bob album I've heard.  Love and Theft is pretty good but Modern Times hasn't done much for me.

Oh, really? I like all those records. Different strokes, as always. :)
