Thank you, Daniel. I did get your message, but I'm still trying to figure out how the man's love interest will figure into the story. It appears that the ballet will be made longer if we include this new element into the story.

Great, yes, I suppose it would make the ballet longer by a little, a few romantic dances to be added. I do think that this new element will make the story better though. I much appreciate your help John, hopefully the end result will make our hard effort worth it! :)

Wonderful!
It's a great piece to experience live, and also a challenge for the orchestra.
Who's performing?

Certainly! It is the London Philharmonic/Gaffigan at the Southbank Centre. They are also playing Don Juan (a favourite of mine :) ) and Mozart's 24th piano concerto with Paul Lewis as soloist. Looking forward to it! :)

Hollywood

Howdy there Daniel! Greetings from a Yankee in Vienna, Austria. I agree that it's great to see more young people interested in classical music. Welcome to the forum.  8)

Fourteen!? I had no idea from your posts that you were so young. Astonishing. It's a nice thought that you'll be bringing down the average age of Elgar enthusiasts!

I didn't even listen to music when I was 14 (but I heard "passively" tons of jazz home because my father is a jazz nut). I started music listening when I was 16/17 and I was almost 26 when I discovered Elgar.

I have read that people usually get interested about Elgar when they get older. I don't know why. Elgar has a playful style that should appeal to younger people too.

Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Interesting, I certainly agree that Elgar definitely has a playful side, for example Falstaff     Wand of Youth Suites       Scherzi from the symphonies
Maybe some pieces such as the symphonies (at least the outer movements) are more difficult to grasp, I've always loved them though, so it probably depends on the person. :)
