A fine song no doubt. Dire Straits is one of my favorite bands.

One of my favorite bands too but I don't didn't know Ticket to Heaven :o Google informs me it's from their last studio album, which I've never heard. I'll have to rectify that. Love the song, by the way. Its late 50s, early 60s pop vibe in the introduction drew me in immediately, and then the change to a Tex-Mex flavored main melody sealed the deal. Thanks for posting this.

Nothing need be said about Willie and Ray...genius at work. Queen...well, I'm not a fan but I acknowledge the band's talent.

I mean these 3.

Ah...my eye caught Karl's reply instead of your original post. Sorry. I have not heard them yet...but I will.

I'm sorry, you will not reach a higher level of enjoyment until an electric guitar is involved.

Counterpoint did you say .. ?

Does it need to be said that in order to truly learn & appreciate this demanding art
one should listen-to & study the masters within Art music first & foremost to get a
real creative perspective on it. Perhaps starting with ..

I bow humbly before this man, for he is nothing short of genius!

I have heard James called many things, but never 'genius' before.

If James is indeed the man pictured above then he is most certainly a genius!
