Love those two, Greg!

Thread duty — just landed:

I was a sucker for the first album back when:

[asin]B000086EOE[/asin]

. . . so I was corn unto the sickle, when I saw a 2-disc sequel.

I was almost going to get the two-fer with both High Fidelity and Grosse Pointe Blank . . . but then I wondered if the deleted scenes would be on the disc in that set . . . so I wound up ordering them individually.

It's so . . . suitable, don't you think?

Only if you spend a few days, arranging your DVDs in autobiographical order.  ;)

Okay, here's my end of the year splurge for some DVD collections I have wanted to order for a while.

"Star Trek: The Complete Original Series (Seasons 1-3)"

[asin]B001DHXT6G[/asin]

I find that this series holds up better than the rest of the incarnations.

I enjoy these from time to time.  Very cool on a lot of "spy" levels.

Nice! Please let me know your thoughts on these Steve Hackett recordings. I'm a big fan of his music. I still remain cautious about the reworking of Genesis tunes, but I've heard great things about this new release.

I've been on a sci-fi binge lately:

Just bought this for $12 plus shipping from an Amazon MP seller:

I've been eagerly anticipating this film since it's release in theaters. I loved The Dark Knight and I've heard this was a very good sequel.

I remember reading this one....very primitive, but retro cool in a lot of ways.

The new erato

It's written by a Ph.D., so it must be good.

I expect the series to be primitive being written in the '30s, but that's fine.  I'm trying to track the intellectual genealogy of science fiction (space opera in particular) and sometimes that means starting at the beginning. :)

That SF haul looks great, Geo-Dude.  Several titles that have been languishing in my to-read queue.  I need prioritize that Stapledon STAR MAKER; I've heard it's a mindblower.
