You haven't ever posted anything remotely challenging, but you have contributed a lot of seriously challenged stuff.

QuoteDUNDONNELL:  The smell and taste of onions make me physically sick  If I can't see them or smell them or taste them it's ok
Cook with them by all means, put them into other things ok....just don't let me see them, smell them or taste them.

Extraordinary.  I too will eat something if there is no sight, smell or taste of onions, even if I'm told 'there's onions in it.'  If they can't be seen, tasted or smelled, I too will munch away quite happily - but if a trace, taste, smell or sighting of a bit (no matter how small) manifests, then it's all over, the meal, the host, the cook, the food manufacturer, I want to be sick all over them...

If anyone mentions onions again, I'M LEAVING!!!

My mother-in-law is exactly like this with garlic. She reads all ingredients on packaging very carefully and it is surprising how many products have traces of garlic. These are disdained as though they were packages of boil in the bag leprosy

She could arrive in our house several days after we had cooked with garlic, the nose would immediately wrinkle with distaste, the pussy-bum mouth would form and she would thence be doing us a distinct favour by remaining in the midst of such painful pollution.

And I thought that my teenage years were dysfunctional regarding my eating habits, and yet here are fully grown adults scared of vegetables ;D 0:)

A prune isn't really a vegetable; a cabbage is a vegetable.

"Vegetables. . . Constitute My Principal Diet"
Also for health reasons, (Thomas) Jefferson ate meat only "as a condiment to the vegetables which constitute my principal diet." Many family members remarked on this habit, and though we cannot call Jefferson a vegetarian as defined today, for his time, he did eat an unusually small amount of meat, preferring the produce of his garden. The garden featured more than 250 varieties of herbs and vegetables, including those that others considered exotic or even possibly poisonous, such as the tomato.

A blank here. I even copied the URL in my quotation and tried it directly, blank as well. Will try FF.

EDIT: Shows as Tarte aux Oignons in Firefox.

Oh, well. The Case of the vanishing onion pie  ??? How come I see it and you don't?

Just to make sure, here's another one - is it visible or invisible??

Maciek

This one I see, but the other one looked tastier. ;)

knight66

The one you cannot see looked tastier?  ???

Is there a subtext I am missing?

I see that despite a valued member suggesting he would leave if the specific vegetable was mentioned again; Andre has callously posted photos!
