Thanks! I made up this recipe and it took several tries to get it down to a science, but I think it's success rate is much higher now than before.

I've grilled pork tenderloin before (been a while, but it was marinated and accompanied by a chunky apple sauce) and did it totally on the grill.  Trying to remember which cookbook the recipe was in?     I'll have to do some digging.

Eggs and chickens:  not an easy subject.  From what I understand, "free range" just means that they have access to the outdoors; however, if they are fed indoors, what is the likelihood that they will go outdoors?  And what does the label "Certified humane" mean?  I don't know....just some questions.  Some of the best eggs that I had not too long ago was from a localish farmer.  I'd like to get more of them.

If the carton says "certified humane" it means the birds were raised in a manner that meets certification requirements of Humane Farm Animal Care. Laying hens must be uncaged and have access to perches, nest boxes and dust-bathing areas. Flock density is limited but birds are not required to have access to the outdoors. Beak trimming is allowed; debeaking is not. Starvation to induce molting is not permitted.

What is a "trollshopper"?  And my eggs aren't cheap.  I think that I have an idea how I might be able to get the eggs that I want (different varieties/colors and bright orange=farm fresh).

Well, if money is no option, why not pay a local farmer/chicken grower who treats their chickens well...the eggs are super fresh (orange), they have a variety of breeds, etc.?

     I'm lazy is why. Also, I like to go to the Star Market. They have good ground beef.

     Anyways, what do you expect? I'm just going to make up something nonsensical. It's my super power. 

     Tonight I ate leftover Thai food.

A friend and I love those!  The chocolates that is; haven't tried the chicken picatta.  We were hoping that Aldis would also carry them too as it's closer to us, but no luck.  He had regularly bought Reese's, but said that the price was much better at TJ's.

I cut up a bunch of root veggies (carrots, potatoes, and parsnips--might add some celery) and put them in a crock pot with some chicken stock, fresh thyme and a large bayleaf and some smashed garlic..  Put it on high.  A bit later, I'll brown and add a chicken leg to it and a can of chickpeas...not certain what else; I need something green though.  Oh!  I do have some zucchini.  Might also add in some tomatoes.  Winging it today.

     Oh yes, though many foods are in the chiller, like the picatta zum beispeil. But yeah, I eat stuff like Stouffers and similar things.

Ditto, I'm a bit embarrassed to say. Stouffers spaghetti and a variety of Marie Calendar's frozen offerings form the backbone of my diet.

Eggs figure in, of course, but my normal portion of eggs at my usual diner costs over double the price of a Stouffers or MC meal.

It's not that hard to cook/bake things...in particular fresh veggies (though frozen veggies can be quite good and healthful) and making salads.  And it's often cheaper (and better tasting) to make something from scratch (and oftentimes they freeze well).  Slow cookers are helpful and can be easier to reduce the stress too.  Things like mac and cheese freeze well:  label and date them.  Soups:  oftentimes the same.  Make a big(ger) batch than you would eat within a few days and then freeze them.  Go for it!  I have faith in you guys.
