I got the following message from my wife: "I don't know what to do for supper?"

This is code for: "Ray, what are you making for supper?"

O.k., what kind of fish and how are you cooking it?

It's a Mediterranean seasoned salmon. Frozen. It was ok. We prefer our usual lemon pepper sole.

In the oven on a baking sheet.

I cooked Shrimp Pho the other night. Kept it simple with shrimp, carrots, and cilantro.

A Chinese restaurant near me does actual no shit Chinese food. I like the pork with garlic sauce with pork and leek dumplings. Then I have the leftovers a couple of days later.

Man, this food is so good I could invade Taiwan all by myself.

Long ago l was privileged to visit Taiwan for three weeks, my first concert tour. They were wonderful hosts ( understandably, as this took place before the US formally shifted recognition to the communists ), l LOVED nearly all of the food, and l got drunk ( accidently... I promise! ) for the first time.  ;D

Now l encourage all of my traveling friends to visit Taiwan, while it still exists...

Are they charging a premium for the eggs? I hear that is happening in the USA.

Sorry, but "the other diner"?

That's what I've been hearing re some chains in the US.  I haven't eaten breakfast/brunch out lately, so couldn't tell you.  I have seen rising prices at the grocery stores though.   :(  My understanding is that it probably won't get better for a number of months due to the bird flu, culling of birds, and the time needed for the new ones to become mature enough to start producing eggs.

My normal eatery is about a block away from today's. I stopped going regularly  to today's venue because their steak and eggs ( the only menu selection there which l really like ) is about 3x the cost of my normal breakfast, and the staff don't treat me quite as well.

O.k., I had thought that you had only going to one, so I was confused.

Well, that beats me. I thought LKB liked eggs for the longest time because that was the only thing he knew how to cook. :-[

Does/did(?) he cook much or eat out most of the time?  I know that he knows/knew his wines.

Home-cooked meals. I'm not sure if he helped, but his wife did the majority of the cooking. Oh, and yes, he did like his wine.

A little bit. I make a pretty mean pork tenderloin that I marinade in a brown sugar, soy sauce, a little hoisin sauce and a little orange juice. I sear it on a grill and then finish it off in the oven. For sides, I make streamed rice, fried onions/green peppers and sauté some green beans in soy sauce.

This is pretty much the extent of my cooking abilities...lol. ;D
