The more recent ones (from around 2015) are bilingual Italian-English (the one on Prampolini is from 2021).

The full series can be found here: https://www.vittoriacrespimorbio.com/en/category/b-books/artisti-scala/

A very impressive list of artists!

Thanks! I've bookmarked it. The related series seem just as interesting.

I have no idea. ;D  I just remember it getting positive mentions here, and violin concertos usually go well with me.

For some inexplicable reason I didn't have this recording yet... Tracked down a copy on Fnac.com... Fingers crossed..

BTW this is by the composer that is aka Handl-Gallus or just Gallus.

I for one will be interested how it fares compared with the Singer Pur box I bought some time ago. I am very interested in your findings, this might be just up my alley.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

With the news of Hyperion's fate, I snapped up three downloads directly from the company.  Hyperion's UI is the worst I've used to purchase downloads.  Hopefully, the music fares much better.  (I know the Osborne will.)  At least the downloads were discounted compared to optical discs.

I picked up another Suor Angelica from Presto just because.

Hat tip to @Mandryka.

The first album in this posting features artwork of really bad taste. Enough for me not to buy such an atrocity.

Somehow the art work is absolutely right for the music!

I tend to ignore those covers, pasted them all up with Renaissance pictures. They look like a charm now ;D  ;D  ;D

Well, the Storace could get the same treatment then.  ;)

The Hough has become one of my favorite Brahms recitals. Whether that says more about Hough or me, you will soon decide.
