One of those covers is a mismatch for the others.  :D

The Elizabeth Sombart one. For two reasons, actually.

First: Maria Duenas and Isata Kanneh-Mason gaze upwards, Annabelle Berthome-Reynolds and Sandra Lied Haga* gaze downwards. Elizabeth Sombart is the only one who gaze directly at the photographer.

Second: Elizabeth Sombart is older and less attractive than the others.

* lovely name, btw.

Drat! I'll be sleepless tonight over it.

I don't think she is less attractive.  I find her cover the best since it doesn't bring sexuality into the equation.

Ms. Bibik appears to be in a superposition of states.

Why, of course --- de gustibus. The irony is that I'm usually a MILF guy, but in this case I demur.

I've never understood why sexuality and eroticism should be banned from "classical music" enjoyment and advertising. |Heck, I'm not the biggest fan of modernism but watching Yuja Wang's legs while she was playing Bartok's 2nd PC greatly helped me liking the work, a few years ago during the Enescu Festival in Bucharest.  ;D

Valentin Bibik is the composer. The violinist is Annabelle Berthome-Reynolds. Otherwise, spot on.

Do I redeem myself by stating that Anna Gourari is just my kind of lady?  ;D

If yes, I'm relieved. If no, drat! I'll be sleepless tomorrow night too, bad-lucky me.

Silly me, I assumed that the composer would get top billing.  Forgot what year it was.  ::)

It's not that much a question of year, really.

Think of it this way: what disc are you most likely to buy, one featuring this picture:

or one featuring this picture:

Ms Kennah-Mason seems to be lost in thought, perhaps musing over childhood memories, in line with the CD title. Plus it's a multi-composer program. So I like that one.

But I do object to posing with a cello in a spot where it can be hit by an unexpected errant wave.

There's no cello on the Kanneh-Mason cover. I'm puzzled.

I meant the Sandra Lied Haga CD.
There does seem to be a lot of cellists, male and female, who have endangered their instruments for the sake of a CD cover.

BTW, I should protest on behalf of Ms. Apekisheva. She's just as important to the music being performed, so where is her picture?
