Quote from: absolutelybaching on April 02, 2023, 11:44:44 AMSorry: just going to ask. Is there any way you can reduce the font-size stuff you're currently doing? It's possible you're trying to make a point I haven't quite worked out, but it could also be read as the equivalent of all-caps shouting. And I know you're not that sort of person.

Anyway. Just asking.

Will do, sorry and thanks.

I haven't verified this, so consider it anecdotal: India is the world's largest producer and consumer of chili peppers.

Karl,

You might want to read this article:  https://www.reuters.com/world/india/red-chilli-pepper-prices-surge-crop-damage-top-exporter-india-2022-03-07/  It's from last year though.

Even better news: Finland will become a full member state tomorrow!

The eggs I buy from Star Market go for $4.99 a dozen. I might be buying more expensive eggs than the regular ones because I like the way these eggs are packaged. Maybe they are special eggs, too, but I don't know.

Well that is because you went to Star Market!  Just go to Stop and Shop and save some money. >:D

I've just returned from shopping at Market Basket ("More for Your Dollar") where even though I was in the Dairy aisle to pick up some 2% milk, I neglected to check the price of the eggs.

The Stah Mahket is right down the road from me, and I get my prescriptions from the Osco there, too.

Quote from: absolutelybaching on April 04, 2023, 09:01:13 AMThis isn't unimportant news for some of us, but there's this:

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2023/apr/03/james-bowman-obituary

Other than Janet Baker, that probably accounts for the last of the great "Aldeburgh Crew".

Hang on in there, Janet!
I'm not familiar with his recordings.  I'll have to look into them.  Any suggestions?

I was wrong about the price of the eggs I buy. They are 10.98/dozen. They are supposed to be super elite eggs from libertarian organic chickens. I didn't pay attention to any of that, I just liked the carton they came in.

Quote from: absolutelybaching on April 04, 2023, 01:17:07 PMBritten's Death in Venice would be my starter. After that, any recordings he did of Purcell with Robert King. Otherwise, him & Hickox doing Purcell's Dioclesian or Timon of Athens. There's also a fine Chandos set of Handel's Chandos Anthems with him.

Thanks!

Are you sure that that price isn't for an 18 count and organic and free range?

Here they are. The price I'm seeing now is $6.39 a half dozen. These chickens probably belong to MENSA.
