About, I want to say a month ago(?), I started seeing a number of ads from Ontario on the t.v.  Personally, I don't understand why this trade war is happening between the U.S. and Canada.  I'll bite my tongue as I'm not allowed to go there.  Personally, I love our Canadian neighbors.  ❤️  Hope that this ends soon for all of our sakes.

We know whose fault it is. . .

Apparently it is over; Canada has satisfied Trump by agreeing to a deal which (as I understand the matter)it had already agreed to back in December with the Biden administration.
Mexico had already come to some sort of arrangement, so now we just wait for China.

Coming up soon (Friday, I believe):  an auction of a Stradivarius violin.  It belongs to the NE Conservatory of Music.  They are selling it to raise money for scholarships....possibly $18M worth.  :o

A classical music cartoon I saw recently:

A score of clear complexity and difficulty is open on its first two pages with its title Foreign Relations at the top, the "musician" reading the score is interpreting it by banging on a tin pot with a wooden spoon.

Next week, I get the critique from my editors on the work that I have sent in for them regarding my book, so I am pretty amped to hear what they have to say (hopefully, good things, but I suspect I will get rightfully reamed, lol). ;D

When reviewers/editors applaud my manuscripts, I think that the manuscripts are not good. When they reject my manuscripts, I become confident that my manuscripts are good.

Questions you would like to ask Linz:

How did you get into Bruckner?
Favourite Bruckner conductor?
Favourite Bruckner symphony?
Favourite composer outside of Bruckner?

Formerly Scarpia (Scarps), Baron Scarpia, Ghost of Baron Scarpia, Varner, Ratliff, Parsifal, perhaps others.

Absolutely amazing meeting with my editor, I did get rightfully reamed, but it was such a pleasurable experience and they liked the work, overall, so I am hyper-motivated to get back to it. That's how you start a day! ;D

Just a reminder to remember the thread title and the appropriateness/futility of discussing actually important American politics in this space.

Local police said they didn't believe any foul play was involved in the death of the couple, found alongside their dog. "
