They may have their own morals, but these 'morals' are worthless, because they are human made. So you're absolutely right to say that they have no real morals to begin with.
As I consider God as a construct of the human mind I see no differnce whatsoever, except that religious morals are founded in outdated concepts usually some thousand years old.

I have said what I thought was right, and I'm not going to debate this topic with anyone.

Oh please continue, Saul. This Battle of the Intellectual Giants is even more entertaining than your music.

You obviously haven't looked at the "Pictures I like" thread.

No, I haven't gotten to that one yet. Truly this forum is the gift that keeps on giving . . . .

Then why are you posting this on a discussion board? Get a blog. There you can pontificate all you want and nobody will contradict you. I am certainly for your right to air your convictions, but again; a discussion board is meant for discussion, and if you don't want that, you've come to the wrong place!

It would be a good thing if people wouldn't attempt to draw and bait others into a debate that they clearly don't want to get into, for reasons that you may not even be aware of. Take whatever joy you can out of what's here already, ad some pearl of wisdom of your own if you feel compelled, and then kindly move along. It will be to your benefit, I assure you. :)

I think that some tolerance would prove virtuous in the religious and in the irreligious alike.

Just saying.

Thank you Gurn.

Everyone has the right to express their positions on a set of topics, without been pulled into a debate that they don't desire.

Nobody is forcing you to respond to anyone. You're not being [not "been"] pulled into anything here, and if you don't desire to debate, you can simply keep your mouse off the Post button.

That said, I do apologize for my latest bursts of levity. I was a little less than tolerant, though not entirely without provocation.

But I don't think you have been intolerant of religion in your levity, Sfz ; )

I'm going to write an article as to why Liberalism and Progressivism is dangerous for the world.

Looking back at the Bible where the first Progressive Liberal is mentioned, and what he wanted to do, and what had happened to him.
I hope that it would enlighten some people here and make them understand the dangers of Liberalism.

You are truly welcome. Where to do you plan to have it published?

Those aren't solutions, just vague utopian utterings.

Well, why don't we try it and see? Are you afraid it actually works? You are not willing to have pedophile problem solved if it means making your conservative opinions look silly. This does not make you an asshole but it makes you selfish. I am ready to take the risk to be proven wrong for the sake of children.  ;)

Sure, we're all ready to take the risk with someone else's children. When you have some of your own, we can ask you again about what risks you are willing to let them take. ::)  I don't even have any damn kids myself and I have more sense than that.

I'd rather lock up pedophiles for life.  This entails no risk to children since those particular pedophiles wil not have access to any children again for the rest of their lives.
