Last night as we were watching TV, there was a character pretending to ride a broom. Kimi said "A witch!" I was surprised since I did not know she knew that English word (or even the concept).

So, I took the opputunity to train her just a bit.

Now, if I say: "If she weighs the same as a duck, then she's made of wood, and therefore..."
Kimi would shout: "A Witch! A Witch!"

Kimi is hospitalized for extremely high and persistent fever that has lasted 6 days now. While it is being treated as the flu, the doctors are beginning to suspect Kawasaki's Disease. I am home for a short sleep and will return to the hospital after a few hours.

Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

I'm so sorry to hear about this, Paul. Kimi will be in my thoughts.

Her fever is up to 40.5c (105f). Worrying...

The lung was clear two days ago but now it appears to be pnemonia for sure. Probably one more day before deciding if also Kawasaki. Fever down under 40 now (104f), mostly around 38+.

Out of danger as of today! We also checked her heart and there were no significant damage. Blood tests still not good, but that can be improved in the next few days. No sleep for most of the past three days now, and Vanessa is taking over for the next two days when I will go out on a short lecture trip. But it should be easier for her than it was for me the past few days. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and good wishes!

Excellent news, Paul.  Still keep us posted when possible.  Let us know when Kimi is back to her "spirited and spritely" self. :)
