I can always watch Robert Downey, Jr.

Have you seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang?  That was hilarious! :D  Actually I should watch it again. :)

National Parks - the Ken Burns presentation - rentals from Netflix at the moment - not sure if I need a purchase; I've been to many of these parks already - but this is certainly a rewarding viewing experience - a recommended watch -  ;D

Well, after weeks I've returned to recording some OLD films from the TCM channel onto my DVR - have not 'burned' a DVD in months, maybe tonight's movie will be an exception:

The Blue Dahlia (1946) w/ Alan Ladd, Veronica Lake, et al - an early film noir type film - nice description on Wiki HERE - Ladd & Lake just looked great together, as the pic below (right) shows - worth a watch!   :D

Top Gun.

What was normal in the 80s strikes us today as wildly homoerotic.

"Satan Place" from the first season of Get Smart.

Saul

I saw a trailer for District B13 and wanted to see it Saul, but then I forgot... thanks for reminding me, I'll put it on my queue straight away. :)

David, the movie is totally amazing!

BURNING PLAIN

A touching movie directed by Guillermo Arriaga - who worked in Babel and other movies of IƱarritu - and with two remarkable actresses, Basinger and Charlize Theron.

Corey - excellent production for its time, but so racist, in retrospect - but certainly worth watching at least from a historic perspective -  :D

At the moment watching of film recorded on my DVR from the TCM channel:

The Girl of the Golden West (1938) w/ Jeanette MacDonald & Nelson Eddy - of course, one of the MANY films w/ this singing duet - this one is about the same as the others, prettty medicore for me, despite some good music and songs!

Does anyone love this historic film musical duet?   :D

That is one of my favorite silents. How did you like it?

Excellent. Easily up there with Epstein's Fall of the House of Usher, Murnau's Der Letzte Mann and Vertov's Man With a Movie Camera for me.
